Psoas Release…

Neurogenic yoga-regulating your nervous system!

Psoas Release
Building a Resilient Nervous System

A resilient nervous system isn’t one that simply “stays calm.” It is one that can respond to stress, recover, and adapt with greater flexibility.

The psoas (pronounced so-az) is a deep muscle connecting the lumbar spine to the femur. It plays an important role in posture, movement, and the body’s protective responses. During stress or perceived threat, the psoas may contract as the body prepares for action. Ongoing stress can contribute to persistent muscular tension.

Neurogenic Yoga™ combines mindful movement, breath awareness, and the body’s natural neurogenic tremor response. This practice may help reduce muscular tension, increase body awareness, encourage relaxation, and support nervous system regulation.

As the body begins to settle, some people experience a greater sense of ease, grounding, connection, and resilience.

Rather than forcing relaxation, Neurogenic Yoga™ provides an opportunity to work with the body gently and at your own pace—supporting its natural ability to respond, recover, and restore balance.
