Yoga for gut health…

Yoga for Gut Health!

Yoga can be a gentle way to support digestion, relaxation, movement, and the gut-brain connection. Stress can influence digestive function, so practices that combine mindful movement with slow breathing may help the body shift toward a more relaxed state.

Some helpful poses and practices include:

Cat–Cow — gently moves the spine and abdomen.
Knees-to-Chest — provides gentle abdominal compression and may feel soothing for gas or bloating.
Supine Twist — encourages gentle movement through the abdomen and torso.
Child’s Pose — promotes relaxation and slow, intentional breathing.
Seated Forward Fold — encourages stillness and gentle compression of the abdomen.
Diaphragmatic Breathing — supports relaxation and the gut-brain connection.

Your gut and nervous system are closely connected. Sometimes supporting digestion begins not with pushing harder, but with slowing down, breathing deeply, and giving your body space to settle.

Yoga can complement medical care for digestive health, but persistent or severe digestive symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
