A little about me!

My passion for yoga began in 2010 when I was diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency. Struggling to live the life I once knew, I decided to attend my first yoga class. That single class changed my life forever. I left the studio floating with a sense of lightness. To be authentic, though, I went in with a very bad attitude, reluctant and not wanting to be there at all!

As I continued my practice, I began to experience the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits yoga offers. My life was transformed. Three years later, I pursued my dream of becoming a yoga teacher and trained in New Orleans. After completing my certification, I opened a studio in Chauvin, Louisiana. That studio became a beautiful chapter in my life—one I will always cherish. However, after Hurricane Ida, the studio was lost, and new adventures awaited!

Over time, my practice has deepened and evolved. Now in my fifties, I have developed my own unique style of yoga, blending three popular practices: Vinyasa, 26&2, and Ashtanga. The experience I have gained over the years has shaped my teaching style, which is soft, gentle, and nurturing. My classes help students discover what’s possible in their bodies, with a strong emphasis on building strength and working with proper alignment.

I hold a 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher certification, along with a 100-hour Baptiste certification. Over the years, I earned additional certifications and I draw from my rich life experience to inform my yoga teachings.
